So I went to this game store to buy a DS game (I didn’t know what I wanted but had a few ideas and was curious about some things) and the worker guy said, “Oh I’m the DS man. I can tell you about any of these games.” So I asked, “Have you played any of the Imagine games?” (They’re all kinda girly themed so I doubted it) and he said no, so I asked, “what about the Sims games?” and he said, “No, I’m not into simulation games. Man, I’m proving myself wrong, aren’t I?”

He did tell me about a couple games that sounded interesting though, and I got Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2. He said it was really great, you start off as a new surgeon and so it explains everything as you go, and it’s not too gory, but it’s really cool because with the touch screen it’s like you’re really sewing them up and stuff.

Well, it is fun. I really like it and I’m glad I got it. However, there’s a LOT of storyline. I wish they’d either add more surgeries in between talking, or cut down on talking, or make it a movie you watch instead of having to press the button each time someone says their line. Like, could you imagine having to hit “a” after each sentence on the Halo movies?

Also, you don’t start off as a brand new surgeon like the guy made it sound. You actually play two surgeons, one is a really good one, the other’s kind of new to it, but still has done stuff before.

The third thing is, HOLY COW, I don’t think I’d ever be able to play the game on Hard. There are three settings, Easy, Normal, and Hard, and I’m having enough trouble on EASY.

So it’s cool that it’s difficult and not too easy to master, but still… I’d love to be able to leisurely do the job while I’m still trying to remember the order I’m supposed to do things in. (I keep getting the scalpel and cutting away at the dying person instead of stitching him up! Good thing it doesn’t register those cuts though–at least not on easy. I don’t know about Normal or Hard.)

Also I’ve been sort of sick lately. I was really sick two weeks ago, but now I’ve just got this headache that won’t go away. Grrr.

In answer to Yoli’s question, YES I’m still stuck with all guys in the house. You know what would be sad? If when I finally get pregnant, it would be a boy. I mean, I’ve always thought I’d prefer a boy first–I don’t mind either way now–but I’m just tired of being the only girl.

I’m at work on break and just thought I’d blog to say I have NO clue what to say.

I’m not sure why. I could tell you about the fun DS games I got, or even write my own review (which I probably will tomorrow or something–then again we all know what happens when I suggest that I may do something tomorrow… can we say “procrasti

I’m going to start taking a survey. Apparently guys don’t like being told to do something. Even if they were going to do it anyway, they have to make a DRAMATIC issue over it. Maybe it’s just that girls will instantly tell someone, “say please?” or something like that, whereas guys seem to stew over it for days before you ask them what’s wrong and they say, “Oh, I would have, but you just simply TOLD me to do it instead of asking me.”

People have a real issue with orders. Granted you may not like it, but can’t you just look at it as, “oh, this IS their way of ASKING” or “Eh, I have to do it anyway and they DO have a reason in demanding it from me”?

Whatever.

I normally like Dr. Seuss books, but “If I Ran the Circus” is too tedious. If you’re trying to read it to a child, they’re going to lose attention halfway through, unless they’re really into circuses with odd creatures’ names and tongue twisters. This may be true about the other two “If I Ran the…” books. :( Sadness, huh?

I’m tired and exhausted and the house will be cold in the morning. *sigh* Winter is so annoying.
